ADA has acquired SingPost's eCommerce arm to further strengthen its eCommerce capabilities in technology and enablement, offering clients fully integrated services in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam, and South Korea.
While ADA declined to reveal the monetary value of the acquisition, it said that the acquisition includes all assets and staff under SingPost's eCommerce arm. Most of them will report to Sherry Tan, regional head of commerce at ADA.
The deal also gives ADA a competitive edge in capability, client portfolio, talent, and integrated services. Through this acquisition, ADA will seek to deepen its strategic partnership with the SingPost Group in distribution and logistics across Asia.
Srinivas Gattamneni (pictured left), ADA's CEO, said the addition of SingPost's eCommerce arm marks a milestone in ADA’s eCommerce practice expansion plans as it ramps up its end-to-end eCommerce solutions with enhanced eCommerce technology expertise and services, complementing it with its integrated services of combining media, creative, and analytics.
"This acquisition puts ADA in a unique position to boost eCommerce growth in the APAC region. ADA is now over 1,000 strong across 10 markets, comprised of eCommerce practitioners, data and digital specialists, industry experts, and management consultants," Gattamneni said.
Meanwhile, SingPost's SVP for customer engagement and commercial, Koh Jin Kiat (pictured right), said the deal is "only the start of a strategic partnership with ADA" and it looks forward to complementing ADA's business with its suite of eCommerce logistics solutions within the Asia Pacific region, making it a win-win for both firms. Koh also oversees SingPost Group's international business.
