Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed Ashish Bhasin (pictured left), CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Greater South, to the newly-created role of APAC CEO based in Singapore, and Prakash Kamdar (pictured centre), CEO, Isobar Singapore has been promoted to CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network Singapore.

In total, Tay has been with the company for over seven years. Prior to Dentsu, she was on the client side with over five years of experience with Tiger Airways.

Meanwhile, newly appointed CEO Bhasin will focus on accelerating growth while delivering "greater operational rigour and leadership excellence" across the region. He will continue to oversee the Greater South cluster while the leadership team appoint a successor. The move further cements the recently announced cluster structure, consolidating Greater North, Greater South and ANZ in APAC. It seeks to give the markets and their leadership teams greater focus on identifying and moving into key growth opportunities. CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Malaysia, Nicky Lim, will report to Bhasin.

"Our competitive landscape is becoming more complex and fragmented while our clients are crying out for long-term vision and simplicity. We have to keep their needs as our North Star whilst delivering long-term, sustainable growth for our business," Bhasin added.

Hibino said Bhasin was a "clear candidate" from the start, given his proven track record of delivering long-term and consistent growth. "Under his leadership, the business in India is now the second largest advertising and media organisation by revenue in the market. His long-term vision coupled with his acumen for identifying an opportunity is one of the best in the business,” he added.

Also in a press statement, Kamdar said, businesses are facing various headwinds, and the media industry landscape is more crowded, and fragmented than ever before. He added: "As our clients continue to invest in much needed business and marketing transformation initiatives, my colleagues and I look forward to partnering with them on their respective journeys; journeys that requires us all to be brave and different in order to grow and prosper."

Masaya Nakamura, deputy chairman and chief growth officer, APAC has also taken a new role as CEO, global solutions, Dentsu Aegis Network, based in Tokyo. Nakamura role is "transformative" within the business, said the press release. He will be responsible for unlocking expertise and developing leading practices to drive global client-excellence through integrated solutions, overseeing hubs in London, New York, Singapore and Tokyo.

As an executive officer of Dentsu, he will also build stronger relationships and shared capability between Dentsu and Dentsu Aegis Network. As a result, the Singapore business will no longer be a stand-alone entity and become part of the Greater South cluster.

Nakamura said: “This move is an incredibly exciting step in the evolution of our business, weaving stronger synergies between Dentsu and Dentsu Aegis to truly unleash the combined power of the businesses with our client’s long-term growth central to our vision.”
