Ad giant dentsu International Hong Kong has appointed Napoleon Biggs (pictured) as its new chief consultant. He will report to Simone Tam, CEO of dentsu International Hong Kong.  Biggs will offer consultancy services for senior marketers in evolving their organisations in a digitally dominated world, and will help to fuel growth for clients and dentsu's C-level suite executives. He is tasked with the responsibility of driving integrated solutions for dentsu’s key clients, tapping into the full range of the agency’s offerings across three service lines - creative, media and CXM.

“The industry in Hong Kong is crying out for both creative and data-driven ways to engage their various stakeholders. And we’re teaming up to make it happen!”, said Biggs on his new role.

Bringing over 25 years of experience in digital marketing and technology innovation, Biggs will provide strategy and practical guidance on digital transformation, omnichannel commerce, data leadership and new forms of digital business, culture and entertainment, such as Web3, metaverse and NFTs.

Biggs is also experienced in launching and growing his own startups, and has advised over 100 clients in a wide range of industries, ranging from aviation (airlines) to zoos. Leveraging his industry connections and media accolades, he has also built 'Web Wednesday,' a premier networking community for internet entrepreneurs and digital media executives. The community of digital pioneers currently has over 7,000 members.

Additionally, Biggs is a regular speaker on technology trends and digital disruption at international and regional conferences and has delivered courses at Hong Kong University, Singapore Art Council, Omnicom University in Singapore and China, Yonsei University in Korea, and Google Squared. Biggs is also a speaker of Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, French and Spanish.

“With such depth and breadth of e-Commerce, digital, marketing and business knowledge, Biggs will add tremendous value to our clients and reinforce our leadership in the market in offering integrated solutions,” said CEO Tam. “I am confident that with Biggs’s entrepreneurial spirit, we will go from strength to strength as the agency partner for modern marketers.”

In August last year, dentsu International Hong Kong brought in CXM service line, Merkle, to establish CXM capabilities using data, technology, and analytics to complement dentsu’s existing creative and media service lines. As part of the dentsu’s growth strategy, providing marketers with seamless expertise across the full spectrum of communications services is a key imperative for the company.

Separately, dentsu APAC recently made some leadership changes, appointing Christina Lee as its new chief technology officer, effective 4 April. Lee is based in Hong Kong and reports to dentsu’s global CTO Dominic Shine, and is part of both the global and APAC senior management teams.
