Mark Pope, managing director of Dow Jones in Asia and publisher of The Wall Street Journal Asia , will leave the company at the end of July to take up another role in Hong Kong.
Pope has been with the company since 2004 and took on his current role in Asia just over a year ago.
Katie Vanneck-Smith, global MD of Dow Jones, said in a memo to staff that Jonathan Wright will take on the dual role of Asia managing director and group publisher.
Wright, most recently SVP, commercial partnership and group publisher in London, will officially start on 1 August.
"Asia remains an extremely important part of our business," Vanneck-Smith said.
"[Wright] will play an integral role in the upcoming launch of the expanded Wall Street Journal in Asia as well as our focus on digital and subscription growth around the region."
