European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines has tapped students from the University of Cebu Banilad campus (UC Banilad) to offer branding and marketing services to its member companies.
Groups of UC Banilad students in associate degrees in animation and business administration major in marketing will be matched with companies that have expressed needs for marketing collaterals. The groups of students will be mentored by faculty who are industry practitioners.
UC Banilad campus director Ofelia Mana shared with the local media that students will be grouped into three, with each working for one ECCP member-company. Groups are expected to come up with up to four creative marketing projects in the first semester and one project per company in the second semester.
“The creative sector is the industry of the future and we are on the right track having this partnership. If we don’t train thousands of people, we will not be able to protect this market,” said ECCP vice president for external affairs Henry Schumacher.
According to the ECCP website, the industry body currently has 702 members which include prominent brands Pilipinas Shell, Nestle Philippines, Philips, Schneider Electric and Total Philippines.
